Keeping Article Integrity

Inasmuch as I take pleasure in composing, I do not take pleasure in taking part in schemes to develop “templated” articles for other “authors” to use or abuse to their pleasure. Or, at least, to benefit from my hard work!

On occasion, I am asked by a client to take somebody else’s short article, make some changes, and make it their short article. Rather honestly, this smacks of plagiarism … I will not do it, so please do not ask!

Rather, if there is a general concept in a particular post that strikes a responsive chord in you, I would have an interest in having a look at the post and see if it motivates me to produce original work.

The key, naturally, is original work, not a dupe of somebody else’s writings and not a very finely camouflaged rewrite of the short article.

My policy concerning working for others is this: if you trust my writing skills, you can trust that what I compose for you will be “knock their socks off” excellent writing that will stand on its own two feet.

A great author is a wellspring of initial material while a poor author holds on to coattails of other writers or, worse, takes their info outright.

Don’t get caught up in the “post mill” schemes that some so-called authors are involved in.

Your reputation is at stake and you will be discovered.
